  • Canelo Alvarez vs Alfredo Angulo: Canelo should pprove to be the victor in this match-up copping the duke 79 times, with 35 stoppages. Angulo's 19 wins included 15 bouts inside the distance giving himslf the proverbial puncher's chance. Only 2 draws out of the 100 bouts.
  • Carlos Molina vs Jermell Charlo: Charlo should emrerge as a new belt-holder prefailing in 60 contests, mostly by decision. 7 bouts were drawn. Molina managed only 3 stoppages compared to 19 by Charlo (12 on the basis of cuts).
  • Leo Santa Cruz vs Cristian Mijares: Santa Cruz garnered 59 wins along with 6 draws. He should retain his title. His 12 stoppage wins had 47 bouts going to the judges decision. Mijares had 5 soppages among his 35 wins.
  • Ricardo Alvarez vs Sergio Thompson: Thompson got the edge on Alvarez (51-40-9). His 13 stoppages topped Alvarez by 4 and he scored 66 knockdowns were more than twice the totoal scored by Alvarez (29). He has the edge in this encounter.
  • Jorge Linares vs Nihito Arakawa: Linares came out on top 52 times compared to Arakawa's 41 wins. 40 of the victories notched by Linares went to the scorecards while 26 of Arakawa's wins were by stoppage. Linares gets the nod in this boxer slugger match-up.
  • Abner Cotto vs Francisco Vargas: Vargas came out on top 10 more times than Cotto with 53 wins and should take this match. Both fighters won 30 decisions so this could be anyone's bout if it goes to the judges. Vargas bettered Cotto's 13 stoppages by 10 and this edge in power makes him the favorite.
  • Marvin Quintero vs Rustam Nugaev: Quintero's 62 wins doubled the total scored by C. Quintero's 49 kockdowns translated into 21 stoppages. Nugaev, in turn, netted 38 knockdowns and 14 stops. Quintero wins a fight that promises to be a fan friendly tilt.
  • Roman Morales vs Khabir Suleymanov: Look for this one to go to the judges cards. Suleymanov came out ahead 55 to 37. Only 16 bouts finished inside the distance, Morales netting 10 of these. This slight edge in power shouldn't effect the outcome of this match. Suleymanov cops a decision here.
  • Jorge Arce vs Aldimar Silva Santos: Arce nearly pitched a shutout. He won 95 fights and only lost twice on cuts. Only 9 of Arce's wins went the distance in a unanimous decision. Walkaway winner, Arce.
  • Oreste Bernabe Nieva vs Paul Butler: Butler won 74 of the bouts, with 10 by the stoppage route. Nieva stopped his opponent in 10 of his 21 victories giving him a small punchers chance on the road and across the pond. Butler gets the nod, and a decision win.
  • Sam Sexton vs Larry Olubamiwo: Pretty munch a toss up. Olubamiwo's 49 wins topped Sexton by merely 3. 29 of Olubamiwo's wins were by stoppage. He scored 84 knockdowns. This power edge makes him the favorite, or the very slight favorite.
